Will a sauce made from soy milk, soy butter and flour taste right on a pasta dish? It doesn't have to be a really strong sauce. Will it thicken as I mix it? I'll also add in some basil or oregano and ground pepper.Cream sauce ingredients?
Start with of course the butter and flour. Use 2 tablespoon of butter with 1 1/2 tbsp. of flour, mix well into a paste and slowly add the milk. Probably 1 1/2 cups of milk. I made a base with this last night for a cheese sauce. You will slowly add the milk and stir until it thickens. If you are not adding any cheese to this, the make sure you add some garlic powder, black pepper, salt, oregano and top with basil if you have it. It should turn out great.Cream sauce ingredients?
You obviously like the taste of soy, so it will probably work. I would also add some cheese, like a Parmesan for some strong taste. Maybe you could get a soy Parmesan cheese too. The pepper and herbs you mentioned will help too.
Should work.

Use your common sense like James Martin, take your time and a bit of this and a bit of that, whatever. Try it, if you know what it is your cooking.
