Many casserole recipes call for a can or two of cream soup.Creamed soups are often used as an ingredient in what kind of dishes?
They are used in many types of dishes. Check this recipe out.





Ingredients


1, 3-pound chicken, stewed with meat removed, or 4 chicken breast halves, poached and chopped


1 bunch green onions, chopped


2 teaspoons chili powder


4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided


2, 15-ounce cans cream of chicken soup, undiluted


2 cups sour cream


1, 16-ounce can chopped green chilies


12, 6-inch corn tortillas


Directions


1. Preheat oven to 350掳F. Spray 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick coating.





2. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, green onions, chili powder, and 2 cups cheddar cheese. In separate bowl, combine soup, sour cream, and green chilies. Stir 1 cup soup mixture into chicken mixture. Spread 陆 cup soup mixture in bottom of baking dish.





3. Place 陆 cup chicken mixture on one tortilla and roll tortilla; place in baking dish. Repeat with remaining tortillas and chicken mixture, placing any remaining chicken on top of rolled tortillas.





4. Top with remaining soup mixture and sprinkle with remaining 2 cups cheese.





5. Bake 35 to 45 minutes.





Sides: Shredded iceberg lettuce and Chef Duane鈥檚 Spanish Rice.





Plan ahead: Stew or poach chicken up to 2 days ahead; refrigerate in freezer bag.





Freeze ahead: Prepare enchiladas through step 4. Cover baking dish with two layers plastic wrap and one layer foil. Freeze up to 2 months.Creamed soups are often used as an ingredient in what kind of dishes?
Anywhere that we are too lazy to make a roue for a sauce. My Mom made salmon loaf, and topped it with cream of mushroom, she also made tuna noodle casserole with it.


I make a round steak recipe that simmers the steak, water, and an envelope of Lipton onion soup mix for hours. There are recipes for baked shicken and rice using them. I see soups with the canned stuff as a base.

The trouble is they are prone to burning if they aren't stirred regularly
I use cream of mushroom, when I bake pork chops.





I also use cream of chicken for s dish called turketti. It's basically a caserole.
