Why isn't salad the main ingredient of salad cream?

Beacause it is cream for salad, in the same way face cream isn't made of faces!Why isn't salad the main ingredient of salad cream?
Once you put the salad cream on a salad, then the whole dish becomes 'the salad', so even the salad cream is salad. So salad is the main ingredient of salad cream.

For the same reason that mosquitos aren't the main ingredient of mosquito repellent. and cars aren't the main component of car phones
because its for the salad, its not the actual salad
As its pretty hard to put salad vegetables in a bottle and keep them fresh
just as heamorriods are not the main ingredient of heamorriod cream perhaps
it is a sauce you have with salad!!
