In baking, what do I use in measuring yogurt or cream? Measuring cup for dry ingredients or measuring cup for ?

I'm not sure if cream and yogurt are considered as dry or liquid ingredients due to their thick consistencies. Please advice =)In baking, what do I use in measuring yogurt or cream? Measuring cup for dry ingredients or measuring cup for ?
Yogurt and/or cream are both measured as liquids so 8 ounces of either one is a cup. In baking, what do I use in measuring yogurt or cream? Measuring cup for dry ingredients or measuring cup for ?
For any type of liquid you would use a standard measuring cup. For dry ingredients such as flour or sugar, I like to use a measuring cup that is one cup to the brim of the cup. That way, you can overfill the cup, and use a flat knife to scrape off the excess, and have exactly one cup (or half cup) etc. Good luck!
when the recipe calls for a cup it means a level cup, weather it is flour or yogurt. If it says ounces, you need to weigh out 8 ounces.
The usual is just to say 1/2 cup or whatever measure but some recipes may use the liquid measure and its quite ok to go for either
liquid.
