Is cream cheese spread same with cream cheese?i plan to bake a cheesecake & it's 1 of the ingredients.help!

i'm having trouble looking for it here in doha.all i can find is cream cheese spread. Is cream cheese spread same with cream cheese?i plan to bake a cheesecake %26amp; it's 1 of the ingredients.help!
Cream cheese spread is regular cream cheese that's been whipped to make it light and easy-to-spread. It has quite a bit of air in it, as opposed to regular cream cheese in a block, so the texture of the cheesecake would be quite different and it would have less actual cream cheese in it because of the air. I certainly wouldn't add whipped cream to it to make it even lighter! Is cream cheese spread same with cream cheese?i plan to bake a cheesecake %26amp; it's 1 of the ingredients.help!
Check the ingredients. If it just has cream cheese in it, I'd say yes, but measure by weight, not volume. If it's all soft and spreadable, it may have been whipped up with air. Around here, cream cheese comes in 8-ounce blocks, like this:

The kind of cheesecake I make and like is supposed to be heavy and rich; I wouldn't do anything to lighten it.
It's the same thing. I make cheese cakes all the time and that's what I use. For a little lighter of texture, try reducing the amount by 1/4 and adding whip cream instead.
Every chees cake I've ever seen is made with cream cheese. I would say yes it is.
