Yogurt is made from milk.
Sour cream is made from cream.
They both are fermented by bacteria that produce lactic acid (from using lactose- a sugar in all dairy products) which is how they get their consistency and tanginess. The difference is that sour cream contains a lot more fat (and isnt sweetened or flavored to sell).
Hope that answers it!What is the difference between yogurt and sour cream? they have all the same ingredients but taste different!?
Yogurt is slimy and full of live bugs. Yogurt people have a fancy name for the bugs, but they're still bugs.
well all i know is that it tastes the same but i think it has to do with the way they make sour cream and yogurt
Yogurt has active and live cultures including acidophilus and bifidus.
Yoghurt is made from milk. Sour cream is made from cream.
Yogurt has live critters running around in it, or maybe swimming in it. The difference in flavors may be caused by critter poop. Hey, I don't really know but I needed a couple of points and it does sound logical.
